It can be difficult to talk to other people about suicidal thoughts. People who are having suicidal thoughts may feel trapped by their circumstances, and that there is no way out of their situation.

If you feel that life is no longer bearable, give someone a chance to understand how you are feeling. Talk to someone you trust, such as a family member, close friend, your GP, public health nurse, teacher, imam, or priest. If you want to talk to someone anonymously, you can contact a helpline or chat service.
